Greetings! My name is Ms. Ingrid Murillo and I am Rio Vista’s new Learning Center Assistant. I grew up in San Ysidro, and lived in Rio Vista Apartments from ages 5 – 10. I love giving back to my community and helping inspire the next generation of children to be lifelong learners. I have over eight years of experience working with students of all ages in various academic subjects both in English and Spanish. I will be available Monday-Thursday from 3pm to 5pm. Stop by the Learning Center if you need help completing your homework, have a few questions or if you want me to go over any assignment. I have already met some of your wonderful children and can’t wait to meet all of the HOM program kids!

Hi! My name is Miss Alexis Martinez and I am Vista La Rosa’s new Learning Center Assistant. I grew up in California’s Central Valley, and have lived in San Diego for the last 4 years. I am a San Diego State graduate and am excited to bring to the Learning Center my many years of experience working with kids in multiple academic and recreational settings. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and am excited to use this platform to reach out to the community and encourage the importance of education to our students. I will be helping students with their homework, helping them study for upcoming tests, as well as focusing on any areas they need specific help with. My hope for the students who join me at the Learning Center is that they would realize their individual worth and become aware of the many services available to them to help them achieve success. I want to help the students find their passions and set life goals, both
academic and social, and then help with form a plan to achieve these goals. I want to welcome students to come visit me in the Tutoring Center Monday-Thursday from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm and Friday’s from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm. And parents, I want to meet you as well! Please come by so that I can get to know you all. I look forward to working with you!
